Suspended Ties

Screendance, 1997

Suspended Ties is a screendance where dancer Mia Keinänen and capoeirista Deraldo Ferreira share the same gravity free environment without ever coming in physical contact with each other. The performers were videotaped separately edited together into a duet. The footage was recorded with a Motion Analysis Machine which captures less than five seconds of movement at 500‑1000 frames per second.
